Drum breaks, also often referred to as “fills”, are aimed at joining two adjacent segments. This very short break, comprising a single beat, often marks a rapid transition between two themes or the announcement of a simple rhythm variation. In dealing with a binary groove, you will generally also opt for a binary break. This course provides a video demonstration example, three technical exercises with their corresponding recordings, as well as seven drum grooves you can play along to backing tracks.
